if you guys think for one second Nostralius is going back up with the old account database you're just flat out wrong.

It'll be a fresh start due to the increased popularity of Nostralius, and it'll likely again just be one server to start off with.

...and a "vet server" is also a dumb idea...it splits up the community..

And piss of their core players, supporters that have been with them since day #1? I Should think not.

These are the two options of what WILL happen:

1#: Reopen with old database.
2#: Reopen wiht old database + a new fresh server on the side.

Anything else is just retarded, and anyone who thinks otherwise is ALSO retarded.

Alot of people would rather stay with their geared lvl60s at Kronos/Elysium and other realms rather than lvl and gear again on Nost. If they start Nost with old database I know TONS of people would return though, uncluding me.

Didnt really think of that, because i didnt really play on anything else after nost shutdown. good point tho.

Myself would not reinvest 100+days played (between my main and alt) on a project that already reset my progression and time investment (if there was a wipe), as I would feel more likely it would happen again.

I will note that you are one of the VERY few that had an actually decently geared toon and reputations gained that advocates for either or.

Alright, to be honest after nost shut down i actually have less time for wow, so i would def. be behind alot if they reopen only fresh. Thats why i think they should do both, mainly because the whole attention raised is going to end in an even more populated server, who knows.

I dont really see myself investing another 65days in my warrior, but mainly because i just dont have the time anymore haha, no regrets.

Lets wait for Nost to make an announcement, maybe this discussion is worhtless anyway :O

Btw, sorry to intrude on your heated arguments, but I have read and heard from many Youtubers that Blizz "IS NOT" going to announce anything about Legacy servers on Blizzcon. So, Nos Devs, your move.

To me it seems somewhat obvious that they'll re-open the old servers and most likely restore everything so that people will have their old things back (unless you deleted all your sh*t, in which case you're an idiot, 'cause there is absolutely no reason to do that).

But I feel that the Nostalrius team is aware that if they do re-open the server, it'll be more popular than it was before, due to all the heat going on since the shutdown. And to aid that spiking popularity, they'll have to open another server, which will then start from fresh and allow everyone to get a fresh start with all the progression if they wish to.

Nonetheless, I doubt they'll say anything huge and official before Blizzcon is over, as that it exactly what they said they would. So let's wait and see. Still fun and exciting to talk about.

If I were you guys I'd be more concerned about if Nost even could come back. I'm not sure how much lurking everyone does on these forums, but most of the Dev's have gone MIA (at least on the forums) as well as the ISVV team. I'd hope, at least on Viper/Daemon's side, contact is still maintained. But who knows exactly how many are gone and wouldn't/couldn't return.

If that is the case. That means a much slower restart and maintenance of the project. Nost didn't grab whoever and whenever in order to maintain the server. There seemed to be quite an extensive process in selecting those with the correct backgrounds and skills.
