I would like to see a fresh start personally, it makes the most sense given the length of time Nostalrius has been down for, as much as I would like to see our old accounts restored (even after content has been cleared so the old characters cannot impact the progression) it just isnt feasible, so many people have stockpiled large amounts of gold, herbs, consumables, ect ect. the server's economy would be broken from day one and it just wouldnt be very engaging at that point. A fresh start would allow everyone an equal shot to thrive and prove themselves once again (or for the first time).

Check my other posts describing how this is actually quite selfish from fresh player stand point of view. As much as I understand these voices calling for wipe (even if any of those matters, we're getting quite far into speculations about whole thing lol) its fucking stupid. It wouldn't be stupid 3-4 years ago when private scene was still kinda growing with people learning how to do all the entry level raids and such. But after all this time majority of old private server delvers (lol) wanna see atleast ONE fucking project that gets to AQ40 and beyond stage with proper quality (not talking about joke feenix or kronos servers)

I for one would fucking puke to see fresh progressive server again, thats the reason I didn't go play on Elysium or that I'm not hyped shitbit for crestfall or whatever other server is coming up. But thats due to my past experiences so I'll leave it at that but there is also a fact to consider... this server went down once already. In spite of that I'm eager to say that fresh start appeal only to young blood (i dunno where they came from but i'm having a weird sensation these are retail players that wanna hop in for a bit due to Nostalrius fame but will quit before they even hit 60, but I guess we live in a gaming world that listen to those O_o) but not because they want things "fair" but because they just don't want to compete.

I don't know. I actually wouldn't mind starting over personally. And this is coming from someone that had around 100k. I mean, when i say start over i don't mean the way nost started. Without DM or BWL etc. I think it should start where it left off, content wise. But wipe characters.

Oh that I could stomach tbh... but not waiting for content for another year. This option still suck for those that farmed honor because this thing is rather retarded to redo at any given point but oh well. The only thing that REALLY fucking throws me off from the idea of wipe is that this server already died once. We will never get a guarantee it will last with next iteration. In spite of that how can u expect people to really go into that vanilla hardcore mode to reproduce "The vanilla experience". I'm afraid wipe would turn this server into casuals fun place with old players that achieved something here, reluctant to join and invest time/energy (again) due to the history of this server.

So there goes that, you can't expect to wipe the floor and expect a fresh start when server is scarred like that. Don't get me wrong, if server comes back with old database I'm all the way back into the fray full hardcore mode (atleast to my standards) as every day server is up it would be something new. Starting over feels like starring in "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray lol. I bet you got some insane addicts that would start over again even tho they hit rank 14 few times already but those people need some medical care tbh;P

I would vote for a fresh start (char/account wipe that is), but no reason to start over with the patches etc, that would prob please both returning and new players imo + would not fuck up the economy.

The more I think about it there should be no wipe but rather 2 servers so people get to choose if they rather play a catch up game (if they are willing to work to earn their respect) or wanna play a traffic jam game in stv ;p and wait for content another year. I wouldn't blame people that actually wanted that, I mean we all come from different places and got different experiences so I genuinely respect that this shit would be new for a lot of people... but you can't force older players to redo it just because u wanna try it out for the first time or whatever. It's like forcing rich ppl to pay higher taxes just because they can afford them ;p

I want to continue where I left off.
I'm not even 60 yet.
I'm tired of "fresh starts".

Because of the above reason, if they did do a fresh start, less people would play because they either are tired of starting over like me or will not want to progress through all that content again to get back to where they were.

New players start late all the time on retail and nothing happens. They just have to catch up. That's their fault for not joining earlier, not Blizz or Nost's.

Besides, do you guys not remember the 6 hour starting zone grind because of the amount of players all together? Nost "coming back" is already being hyped enough, and since everyone knows about it now (it might not even happen at all, remember), think of the massive overload, new people getting mad and quitting because they can't tag anything, etc.

They have the code, they have the servers. If you want a fresh start, just ask for a third server to open. I'm sure they could/would do that (otherwise the PvE one is fresher I believe).

That.

Also, as far as I remember the PvE server on Nost was quite new, people can start there. Or as many others mentioned a third server (PvP) would be the last resort.
