Funny thing is Im playing on K2 atm which is cool and all but there isnt a shitload where u feel its overcrowded so its kinda missing that Nost feel and yesterday I had a dream and I was in IF and went to buy something off the AH and the entire area was filled with people it felt like I was at a music festival and I told myself : HELL YEAH , THIS IS WHERE I WANNA BE ... Next day I wake up and this announcement all makes sense . The prophecy shall be fulfilled ...

LONG LIVE NOST

At first i was disappointed. But now that i get we are just simply moving over to Elysium which i played a little on to see if it was alright.

So in the coming weeks or months i will be able to use the same login information i used here to sign in over there?

There will be MORE than one new server with the complete nost database,
and maybe there will be another server that starts completely new.
The progression made by players on Elysium at this moment will not be saved, so no,
its not worth levelling atm

what we have right now is a situation vaguely replicating the recent TBC debacle in that a pserver team has to prepare a number of servers to be ready for anywhere between 2k and 15k people in total on release (aswell as hoping that the population splits evenly between each of the 3 servers) and they have no way of knowing how big the turnout is going to be .. and as we know servers and size upgrades cost $$$, in all honesty i think the main unpredictability is going to lie with the non-english speaking turnout... because i highly doubt they will show up anywhere near release but they could flood onto the scene in a heartbeat, the fact that they've had to change branding makes it way more unpredictable and harder to allocate resources what ever the case

Is it time for a nice "I told you so"? As I've been saying they were going to do this for months now. I kept saying you're not getting your Nost server back. They're just going to release the source code.

Question, when you transfer the sourcecode to the new server, will you also be transferring the original account/character databases? I imagine (with the limited hosting experience I have) it shouldn't be TOO hard, then again there is several hundreds of thousands of accounts and even more characters to be transferred if so
