But whether these items did/should scale with spell dmg is getting off topic and was brought up by the other uninformed person Aethelwulf. I was merely responding to his "ZOMG the sky is falling, your SoR and Consecration ticks are doing too much dmg - you are abusing game bugs/mechanics!"

As Fire Rogues became the scourge of Peenix, the devs there made the decision (rightfully so imho) to remove the spell dmg scaling and this entire argument became a moot point.

Haha. bud, did you even look at the video? How can you argue with the evidence at hand, if you want to try spin it, go right ahead. I'm awaiting a response to what is the reason that the Storm Gauntlets only hit for a meer 3 damage.

I need you to admit that the video that has been linked, from 2006, showcasing a Shaman in gear that provides Spellpower and wearing Storm Gauntlets, hit for 3 damage is incorrect and it would scale at 42/50/100% or whatever number you and others that are delusional have listed in that GitHub topic.

We have yet to see any calculations as to what kind of TPS a prot paladin can pull from either of you. Nobody is disputing the fact that paladins are good AoE tanks but that alone does nowhere near warrant a raid spot over a warrior or even a druid.

No, you don't have any evidence. You claim this quote from a Blizzard employee who works a GameMaster and perhaps he never even played Vanilla, or maybe he did, who will ever know?

What we do know is that Storm Gauntlets did not scale with Spellpower and that's not a fact you can argue with. Thus, unless you can find evidence besides comments from Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, you don't have a case regarding this. All you do is create hear-say and that's petty and low, because it only benefits you and everyone else you dragged along with you in that dream world clearly.

However, your replies are becoming more and more defensive without any actual evidence and you keep pointing to the GitHub, but the matter of the fact is, the video is from 2006 and it showcases what we needed to know. No scaling.

Hey, at least I went to Blizzard directly and asked - that video proves nothing short of nothing considering it's ONE item that does nature dmg and the others do Fire dmg - maybe the different schools had different scaling, who knows?

At least I went out of my way to try and find an answer
