As the title says, I would like to know your opinions and reasoning for which class is most effective for grinding at level 60.

There are a variety of different encounters to consider: AoE, grinding single mobs (casters or non-casters), elites (Tyr's Hand or Silithus for example) etc.

Mages are obviously better suited for AoE grinding, but how are they for normal 1 vs 1 comparatively?
Hunters and Warlocks have the advantage of not having any significant downtime.

Paladin for aoe farming are pretty nice with a tank spec, also hunter/warlock aren't bad with their pet.

I'd imagine mages takes off when itemization becomes post 1.4 and they get enough spell dmg

Hunter is nice 1v1, little effort and little downtime.

Rogues aren't bad either when it comes to Soloing stunable elites and the like.

I'd say hunter > rogue > mage for farming with 1.4 items. Mage and fury > rest when we start seeing good items. I always found warlock dot farming to be both mediocre and boring, you're also mega food for any ganker, which is a much bigger threat on a private server than on retail.
