My friend is rolling a warlock and i want to make his life miserable when we are dueling. Well... at least not be a free win for him.

What are the best specs and classes in a 1v1 vs. Lock (either destro or SL)

Shamans have often been the bane of my existence on my Warlock, spamming purge to remove all buffs (including voidwalker sacrifice) and short cooldown on earth shock to interrupt spells.

Yeah, and with tremor totem, they're pretty much completely immune to fear.

Shamans are the bane of most casters in PvP.

Roll anything undead .
As for shamans tremor, the downside is that it proc once every 5 seconds and the procs are obvious so if the lock has any kind of skill and pet control it wont be that much of an issue for him.

Unfortunately we will play Alliance, so shamans and undeads are out.

What about rogue, hunter or shadowpriest?

If you play Alliance I would say the best would be Priest, Hunter, and even another Warlock as they have spells to counter themselves.

Never said it was impossible for a warlock to kill a shaman. Just pretty tough.

Rogue can kill warlock from stealth fairly easily, assuming the warlock doesn't have a voidwalker or succubus out already to either sac or cc the rogue. Otherwise the warlock has zero opportunities to act before they're dead.

i never lose to rogue. hunter is the best class vs warlock straight up. viper sting and run your stupid ass around
