I love healing, but I just find it so unrewarding to not see any green floating text above people I heal. Is there an addon, or a way to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I don't know about that, but how about something that's in its own frame instead of above characters? MSBT and Eavesdrop are good for this.

I use a separate chat window that shows only my heals. Easy to set up and doesn't take much screen space.

I believe it might be possible. I'm pretty sure there is an addon that modifies the health bars that show over other players, in theory you could modify the friendly floating health bars to be invisible and show healing values just like floating combat text. Range might be fairly limited though and it might not be possible to modify only the friendly health bars, aka you would lose the enemy health bars.

The Scrolling Combat Text addon can do this for you.

I don't think vanilla has any kind of support for floating healing numbers, no.

Your best bet is to use MSBT or some other scrolling combat text addon.
