blizz-like class ballance?

Hey there, new player here.
As many of us know, few talent trees were actually viable in vanilla wow. Is it the same on this server, or are the classes more balanced? if not, which classes/specs are actually viable?

We have not modified the talents in any manner.

This is one of the beauties of Vanilla. There were imbalances. Imbalances mean you have strengths and weaknesses that differ from other classes, and at different degrees.
This means in PVP, there are certain "counter classes" that you will always struggle with, some you will always dominate. Same with PVE situations. A pally and warrior have different strengths. One best aoe tank, one best hard hitting boss tank, rather than like retail where everybody is tuned to be doing the same thing.
