Interchange Nostalrius wow and normal wow?

I was wondering is it possible for me to change from vanilla wow to normal wow without going through changing realm list. Or once I download the client, I just use that to access nos wow, and use battle.net wow to access normal wow?

This is correct, just download the 1.12 client to a different folder and launch it via wow.exe. Continue to use the battle.net launcher for regular WoW.

Just make sure you do not run both at the same time. No reason to, but I did in the past with a different private server to just talk to people on both and blizzard detected it as unauthorized 3rd party program. Made no sense. Took a lot to get my Blizz account back.
