This is what retail leveling is like now... wtf...

I play retail (and might probably will play PVE here) but there's more redeeming factors concerning retail than people give it credit for. Biggest thing for me is time. Logging in and being able to accomplish something in 30 min - a hour is beneficial to my life and I still get to experience the "core" WOW game.

I only play in short spurts too, longer on the weekends but you can absolutely do that here too. It will take you months to level, but so what? I'm here for the world, not to click garrison menus or play with shityard and call it an accomplishment.

Sorry, it is nothing personal. I just really can't stand what retail has become.

Cause in months instead of going just from 1-60, I can go from 1-100; Do all dungeon/raid content; Max out garrison; Level alts. It's not BETTER it's just "better for me".

No lie, I jumped into it starting from where I left off (BC) and wow. 1 month Sub was all i needed to decide I didn't want to play retail any longer.

I just wish i can bring my rogue over here ^^

I have not leveled a new character since lich king, but recently I logged on a bank character lvl 1 with no gear, and I could kill 3 level 5 mobs at once...and I almost lost a fight on my lvl 80 rogue against a lvl 30 full heirloom guy...you can basically solo a lvl 60 raid on lvl 30 now

Lol good comparison but you can't solo a 60 raid on a level 30.

I solo MC/BWL/Ony just to get transmog stuff but other than that the game is boring :\

Yep, retail is dulled down now and boring for the most part. They took out the leveling / building your character talents and made it a simplistic game.

yeah, it's really ridiculous at this point

I leveled a few characters a while ago and I one-shot everything in heirlooms

but what was even funnier, there were certain quests that were hard to do, because they were so easy

for example leveling an orc hunter in durotar, there is a quest where you need to put down a totem and capture venom from the scorpions, the problem is you can't attack them or they are dead, but even if you take off heirlooms and don't attack them at all, your pet will kill them

and before level 10 you can not dismiss your pet, because you don't have the control bar

so what I needed to do was send my pet into some other direction to kill a different mob, run to a scorpion, put the totem down and hope that it gets its cast through before my pet returns

still sometimes my pet was so fast, that it returned too early and killed the scorpion before it got its cast through

I mean at that point, you made the game so easy, that it's hard

another example in undead area, I was playing an undead rogue, and you get a quest to capture a murloc

you can only capture him when health is below a certain percentage

I was running around naked, with no daggers equipped, and I still killed some of them accidentally

it's just ridiculous
