Which expansion did you quit playing retail WoW?

- Played too much from mid 2006 until mid 2008 and loved it.
- Started disliking the game during WotlK (gearscore, random dungeons, retarded talent trees and the like)

- Cata ruined everything and I didn't really play much then at all
- Surprisingly liked MoP, but still, the game wasn't the same. Only still played a couple months during those 2 years though
- Thought WoD was going to be amazing, played about a month and quit

I think the only reason I've gone back to retail ever since late WotlK, is because the game used to be so damn good, and my old guildies still play sometimes.

Its been on and off since cata really. Everything from Cata onwards was a big let down.

I played just before BC hit without level capping till BC and played on thru cata and quit a little after firelands.

BC is my favorite Xpack. Wolk was fun as i leveled a warrior tank and when 3.0 hit we were on par with palidins with AoE tanking.

I thought Cata was a rip off with rehashing old content and a cop out but i did enjoy the 5 man dungeons in cata to be honest. The mount achievement was a great addition. The raids i was not impressed with....

My favorite raid is naxx from wolk. Its not as challenging as others but its the one i had the most fun in.

I quit wow and didn't look back when MoP was announced.... pandas.. lol such a chineses suck up.... not to offend but it was a marketting ploy IMO.

The game was ruined by looking for group. It made servers not have to socialize and everyone could just log on and join a random group get free gear then log off. Pople could be jerks with no accountability; and trade chat got ludicrous with "anal" jokes all day long.

The best thing that came out of some of the xpacks was the guild perks.... that was cool....

The no major city in WoD ruined that xpack ImO....garrison slavery....and imprisonment.

They obviously have a huge fan base that would play if they figure out the right formula to keep thier interest to bad they all quit again getting to max level.... perhaps they need to make it hard to get to max level again.. for reals. peple max level capped in hours with WoD.. that was ridiculous.

Quit after one week in Cataclysm, was sort of fed up by the end of WoTLK - but since I had wanted a remake of Azeroth since TBC I felt that I had to try Cataclysm.

I joined in October 2006 and I quit around September of 2007, so that would be Burning Crusade? I was the most casual player ever (mostly played to socialize) and only made is to around level 47 when I quit. I played for about a month last year (Mists of Pandaria) and all I could think was "what the frick happened to this game??" In fact when I first heard about Nostalrius, I had to look up what "Vanilla" meant, because I had always just referred to it as "the time before the Blood Elf and Draenei expansion came out".

I really regret not playing through the rest of Burning Crusade and not having played Wrath of the Lich King, but at least I got my grades up in the meantime ^^

First started a few months after TBC launch, for me it was ~1 month into Cata where I felt like I was not even playing WoW anymore.

I've checked out a few WoD streams on twitch since its release... it makes me so sad to see a game I loved turn into what it is now ;__;

I played literally every day from EU launch to early wotlk. Thought it became shitty so I tried to reroll but then realized the problem was the game and not the character... I did buy Cata only to find out only 1 person I cared about was still playing so we pvp'd a month together and that was it. I still look at new expansion releases, watching the stream right now, but they always look terrible since wotlk imo.

Started playing in March of 2005 and continued on until 3 months prior to Cataclysm launch. Got back in on Cataclysm launch day and continued through until a few months ago. I was kind of geeked for Warlords and slightly after I hit 100, I was just done.....the content wasn't there for me. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Legion but expectations are tempered.
