Okay I want to be very clear about that website and those staff as I've been seeing so many ridiculous accusations being made, their intent is clear: GIVE THE PEOPLE THE REALM THEY LOST, They do not want peoples account information, they do not claim to have the source code or database to Nostalrius, they are waiting for it to be released so they can give the people what they want, simple as that, and anyone that can actually read could go to the site and find that for themselves, if you lot don't want to join their efforts to create a new wholesome Nostalrius to bring the old community back together then that's fine, I'm a simple ex nost player biding his time to see a new Nostalrius be created, Until then.

Problem is Nostalrius got so much support it got over they're heads and they believe they can actually get a deal with Blizzard... so they won't release the source and database anymore in hopes of that dream. Blizzard will never re-release vanilla simply because classes are so much unbalanced and new players on retail now will check it out and cry about difficulty/classes so it's a hopeless dream.

...and they'll go back to retail, and that's fine. For the rest of us we'll stay with legacy content. Vanilla isn't for everyone. Some people can go back to retail's pudding.

I think this project not bad idea.Of course much will depend from team and developer of Vanilla.re

I could add that the community should stay together to give life the new project.

Friends ,if Nostalrius can not choose best successor, lets do it in a forum.

@Rarilmar - it's not so much that they are hoping for Blizzard to come around. I don't think anyone realistically expects that, especially those who have watched Blizz take down servers before.

What is the case here is that they actually filed suit against OVH, and OVH was going to just divert that lawsuit to the admins. The Nost staff is complying because they have to. And if they officially promote another server, it just opens them right back up to the lawsuit.

Remember this is not a DMCA take down notice. This is multi-billion dollar deep pockets Blizzard holding a gun to their heads and saying, "Comply, or else we pull the trigger."

Post like this are just guerilla attacks to get more people under false pretences. Honestly there should be a wait time for post now to slow these downsl for new accounts.

You are again linking to a random poster from ArenaJunkies, a totally unrelated site and putting a header of vanilla.re above it.

I don't know if vanilla.re is legit or not (remains to be seen) but that's pure shitposting on your part.

Can I link a random poster on mmo-champ claiming that Nost staff pocketed donations and claim it as a legitimate source?

@Roadbl0ck Just my 2 cents, i cant unterstand why they claimed to play Nostalrius and didnt help them with 7 years dev experience. Where are they when nost need dev and tester ?

And btw nost will not give their anti cheat / anti bots tools.

if i would choose, i will help this No Mango Project https://www.reddit.com/r/wowservers/com ... c_setting/
