It sounds bizarre, I know.

It all started with a discussion on LFRP, I was only goofing around... but I actually went through with it because it is an interesting concept.

My friends... brothers... countrymen... I present to you -

A Simple Overview (amiable to new ideas)

We live in a world of uncertainty, we fight a perpetual war with an increasingly unconventional enemy.

An unconventional war calls for unconventional tactics, and that's where we come in!

We, the Free Men, engage in civil conflicts and work as a free agent specialist taskforce to combat the ever encroaching Horde offensive with... unorthodox methods of warfare and tight leather jerkins.

The idea of ERP is more or less of a pretext, but "300-esque" dialogue and vague homo-eroticism are both actively encouraged. I'm thinking something likened to the Sacred Band of Thebes as a historical comparison, but a little more flexible with who we let in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacred_Band_of_Thebes

I'd like to keep it primarily RP for the sake of representation.


RULES:
Although we are all free men, we have few guidelines:

- Respect your fellow brothers, we are all equals here regardless of rank or standing.

- Conflicts between brothers are settled by way of combat.

- Keep ERP classy.


I'll work on this more as I go along, but it'll be in development for awhile before anything official happens.

We of the Free Men among all other ethics and conventions are ADAMANT about consent, I assure you!

Also before this comes up -

"Men" doesn't really refer to a gender in the context of this being the name of a group, or at least it's not exactly intended.

We've already got some girls in here, they are our valued sisters of both the sword and shield.

However, I still call them "brothers" as a whole.

At the end of the day, men... women... we're all swords.
