Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I startes in BC crusade, and as far as i remember the mobs definetly weren't this tough. I'm having difficulty as a level 7 hunter to kill level 8 mobs.
And earlier those wendigos especially seemed way too tough, and also had a way too high spawn remember. It may just be me remembering wrong, or maybe the mobs got nerfed in BC.

Sounds all pretty normal to me, and afaik hunter's are pretty crap until they get a pet.

I'm also pretty sure I remember seeing guys in T3 dying to those orcs in Helffire Peninsula at the start of BC, so I guess tougher mobs were the norm back then.

Well, the thing is, it's only specific mobs that i have a problem with. That is so far, the wendigos at the grizzly den, and the snow leopards in the western part of Dun Morogh. It seems strange that those two mobs would be that much tougher than anything else around.

It's totally normal. If you ever played back in the old days you would know it

Hunter is the worst solo class lvl 1-9 since after 2 or 3 shots you'll be stuck in melee, which you are weak at and you don't have the skills yet to get into ranged again. Prepare for a lot of dying.
If you accidentally pull an add during a fight it's almost certain death.

At 10 with your pet you suddenly become the best solo pve class.

Defias Pillager was the top player killer throughout vanilla according to Bliz's death stats. Some mobs are just meant to be obnoxious.

It's just the way it is, I know those mobs & yes they're tough...if you aren't strong enough try leveling 1-2 times elsewhere & come back, try again. This is Vanilla, the game is not designed to be easy from the start. Remember in retail/2005 not every player was 60 & leveling was a much bigger part of the game.

Hunters in gereral have a really shit time until lvl 10, then it's like super smooth and you'll never die lol.

Mobs were this tough in Vanilla. Each x.0.y release made players more powerful (in a sense with the major changes to talents and spells) and mobs weaker.

This, although it was definitely more of the players getting gradually more powerful as opposed to the very spread out nerfs to mobs which usually only applied to elites and bosses and almost never to the standard mobs.
