Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hi there all. I'm new to the private server scene, and I had a question. I read through the new player guide on the site and I'm really interested in Nostalrius, but with the stigma associated with private servers I am a bit concerned. I don't want to compromise my actual WoW account in any way, so I guess what I'm wondering is will I get banned on the official servers? I know there's a risk associated with private servers but this one seems legitimate enough that I'm almost willing to try it out. Just don't want to throw away all my time on live servers.

There have been reports of people getting banned on retail, but most are unfounded. Want to take extra steps? Don't put your private server installation in the same folder as retail WoW, in addition don't do something stupid like stream gameplay under your retail account name.

Overall, Blizzard wants your money and they don't get any if you are banned.

The only thing about this server that makes it more "legitimate" than many other servers is that they don't advertise donations. Otherwise it is still illegal, technically.
