Looking to expand my Nostalrius experience and would like some guidance..

What are your essential add ons? Are there a few that you can't live without?

Mainly looking for things to help a low level character.

(Please post links if possible!)

Thank you!

Some of these seem more suited for people who are further in the game.

I'm gonna update the thread title. Thanks.

Well it depends.

The one that is the most important to me, and valuable at any level is Snowfall keypress. It makes your abilities activate on key press, and not key release. Basically makes you press buttons faster.

Proper unit, party and raid frames are great too. Luna is my personal preference. Two other essentials would be NaturEnemyCastBars and Chronometer.
Onebag, Lazypig, Buffalo, Atlas, Cartographer, Cooldown, Mobhealth, Prat, Supermacro, SCT, Xloot are all super neat at any level.

Any actionbar addon like bartender, bongos or zbar is super neat as well.

More specific addons depend on your class. If you can dispel, decursive is amazing at any level, if you're a rogue you would want Energywatch and so on.

I really only left out raiding specific addons, because really: Addons are amazing and great at any level. They do things for you so that you don't have to do them yourself and you can't be too early with getting familar with them.

AF_Tooltip
EnhTooltip
Informant

These three work together to enhance the tooltip displayed in the bottom right corner of your screen when you mouseover players or NPCs to give you more info such as guild names. It'll also show more info on item/gear tooltips such as vendor sell value.

Bagnon
Banknon

Consolidate all your bags into one frame if you don't like having multiple bag frames.

ChatScroll
EasyURLCopy

If you're big on using chat channels, ChatScroll will make it so you can use the mousewheel to scroll up and down and EasyURLCopy will hyperlink URLs in the chat window to let you easily copy them.

EQL3
Questie

ExtendedQuestLog; enhances the quest log window to give more info. Questie is also a good quest tracker.

EquipCompare
Displays an additional tooltip window with your currently equipped gear stats when moving the mouse over gear in your bags to easily compare the stats between both items.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I know this thread may seem kinda silly, but I was hoping to figure out 5 or so addons to use. I didn't want to go too crazy right off the bat.

So, if you could only use 5, what would they be?

Basically, I have only used like these addons on this server and I already have 2 characters +45 and one level 40.

Mobinfo2 - Useful to see your targets hp, but your targets HP is not always fully correct, because this addon calculates the amount of HP from the damage you do to it.

Attackbar - Shows when your autoattack/autoshot is going to be performed. Also shows your target's attack speed. If you happen to download it, "/abar unlock" and "/abar lock" to move it around.

Questhelper pack - This is 3 addons compiled. It has Extended Quest Log3, ShaguQuest, and Cartographer. ShaguQuest is the questhelper itself. Cartographer shows where the quest objective is on the map. It also has the whole map discovered, and you can see every place on the map without having to go there. EQL3 is the addon that makes you able to press the "show" button, which shows where the objective is on the map, and "clean" button, which clears the objective points of your map. http://shaguquest.ericmauser.de/#english

Sorry for not providing the links for mobinfo2 and attackbar but you can probably find them on your own, and if my text was sloppy, really tired at the moment.
