ultra low config mod possible ?

Hey guys, i am currently playing on a old computer, but even with the LOWEST settings in the menu,with 800x600 resolution, i have alot of freeze / lag ...

the configuration of my computer is

1gb ram
NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 405 (512 Mo)
DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2100 MHz (10.5 x 200) 4000+


i wonder if there is something possible to do in my case like a ultra low mod or something like that ?
its just killin my game experience

There's no way your computer can't handle the game, not with those specifics. This game's engine was written in 2003 and could be run @ 1000 MHz and GeForce 2 with 64 MB.

Your OS is just probably full of useless garbate that takes the resources in the background.

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 1.3 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500+
Memory: 512 MB RAM (1GB for Vista users)
GPU: 3D graphics processor with Hardware Transform and Lighting with 32 MB VRAM Such as an ATI Radeon 7200 or NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or better
