Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Greetings dear rogues of Nostalrius!
What I have ventured into this subforum to ask is, when does the shit with target switching that ends up removing combo points off of your previous target disappear?

Was this changed with some patch or is this just Nostalrius? I have no memory of this, might be wrong and being ten years ago.

Pretty certain it was a later expansion, working as intended in vanilla afaik.

edit: if you search "rogue combo points" you will find many duplicates of this thread with the same answer.
