Hi!

Today i was questing in Arathi Highlands, doing all the elite quest chains. We got a priest healer in our group (Won't say name). She shielded me before i pulled and i asked her not to the she kept doing it. We eventually got into a fight and she left and ignored me. So because of this i decided to post here to inform you of this.

Druids get rage from being hit. Don't shield a bear before he goes in to attack, or he won't have any rage to maul or swipe to get aggro. Save the shield for an emergency. A HoT before he's in combat helps, though.

GL on healing and don't go around being stubborn, if the tank ask you to something it is probely for a reason.

You are correct about shielding on the pull, however I'd say that a HoT is not always a good idea because if it ticks before the mobs reach the tank and they've not been hit, they will aggro on to the healer.

Sure, but a shield just ruins the tank.

Shield is usually an OH SHIT button to save tanks, and its also very good when your tank is mortal striked (and already has a lot of threat built up)

Pre-shielding does make sence in certain scenarios. Mainly raid-bosses who will eat the shield instantly where the tank is charging in before others and runs a serious risk of dropping. Ouro in AQ being the prime example of a good time for it.

In lower level content it is generally I'll advised to pre-shield the tank just as you say.

Typically I will start a greater heal depending on how hard the mob hits and just cancel and start cast again if little damage is done.HoT is a terrible idea if there is more than one mob especially. I would also like to tell locks to drink some damn water and not rely on healers to heal them between every pull, this can cause aggro issues as well as mana. Let them go a pull with half health (sorry you could tell that was bothering me)
