What are the best PVE specs ?

sm/ruin is already viable. albeit only on a couple of fights in raids atm. if its a single target fight, ds/ruin will beat out by a small margin. however, fights with adds (gaar, majordomo, golemagg are the big ones that come to mind) sm/ruin actually closes that dps gap even more with the ability to corruption on adds and gain instant shadow bolt procs for whatever is main target. now outside of raids, sm/ruin is my ideal spec as it is very useful in pvp, and dungeons where the debuff limit isnt always constantly maxed out, it becomes more useful as well. for straight single target damage, ds/ruin is king atm however

this is my sm/ruin spec, http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#IE0ibRboVZZxx0tr0z, (some points are for pvp purposes, and can be shuffled around, imp drain life / curse of agony)
and this is my ds/ruin spec, http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#Ix0 ... ooZgx0tr0z (again you with some points for pvp usefullness and just in case i need to be the imp bitch) both, destructive reach and shadow burn are must haves really. many fights the added range will be a life saver, and shadowburn on cooldown weaved in between shadow bolt spam for max damage. go into raid with tons of shards, maybe even 2 soul bags if you wanna go buck wild. regardless of spec however, rotation doesnt sway too far away from > apply curse > shadow bolt > shadow bolt > shadow bolt > shadow bolt > shadow bolt > shadow bolt

I'm SM/Ruin and have been so in every raid. It's quite viable and still competes on single target fights but DS/Ruin still parses better. I didn't let any of the warlocks in Exiled run the bugged DS/MD/Ruin spec because I believe that it was bug abusing so that change isn't going to impact us at all.

If you don't believe it's viable, you can check the warlock meters on raid stats.

Another thing is SM/Ruin is great if you're grinding outside raids as it has more sustain and versatility than DS/Ruin. If you are DS/Ruin and aren't in a raid you're going to have a bad time in both solo PvE and PvP.

If you need more information about the specs, just Google it, the information has been out and verified for years.

For the curious, I just added all the math for Corruption, Curses and the Affliction tree to my spreadsheet

For a 3 minute fight with my current gear and doing shadowbolts only:

DS / Ruin: 405.00 dps
SM / Ruin: 380.36 dps

Adding Corruption and CoA to the rotation:

DS / Ruin: 486.95 dps
SM / Ruin: 488.70 dps

This is the Imp spec - you only want 1x Warlock with this in the raid.

DS+MD/Ruin: (points can vary from subjective opinions)

This is a "bugged" spec, but working as intended seeing it wasn't fixed till late vanilla. What you do is basically sacrifice your succubus and having a healer ressing it - giving you both sacrifice buff and master demonology buff for 25% damage.

DS/Ruin: (points can vary from subjective opinions)

Standard sacrifice spec - go nuts on sbolt spam.

If u use MD + DS at the same time, will you get banned or not?

Cheers
