can we get some hard confirmation that one of our best raid specs has been neutered?

You mean one of the most exploitable DPS increases has been fixed? How dare they patch something that was obviously not working as intended!

you misunderstand me @Bioness.

Blizz knew about this 'exploit' and iirc was not addressed until after vanilla. if that was the case, then nostalrius devs patching it would make the realm less blizz-like.

The trick of Demonology specced Warlock Engineers using Jumper Cables to resurrect a pet that's been Demonic Sacrificed, thereby giving both buffs, has been removed. The buff from Demonic Sacrifice now vanishes whenever you have a pet active regardless of how that pet got (back) into the world.

you dont remember correctly...

Thank god we're playing on patch pre-1.5 at the moment and not 1.12.

I'm not complaining here, just saying that it should be in the game until far after the naxx release.

Pretty sure we're not on Patch 1.12 right now. This selective patching is downright stupid. Everything needs to be made uniform (as much as possible, obviously talents will stay 1.12). "Oh THIS thing needs to be patch 1.3 but this 1.12 and this 1.7 but not THAT thing THAT can't be 1.12 because uh REASONS" is stupid. You idiots continue to stick up for these terrible fucking decisions. Reviving a pet for Sac/MD was available UNTIL 1.12. Why is it being taken away when we're not even on patch 1.5 yet?

All the spells / talents / abilties on the server are based on the 1.12 release. If you want to be consistent, and have the 1.3 talent version for the warlocks, you wouldn't even have the Master Demonology talent. It was added in 1.6 with the warlock revamp:

"New Talent (Demonology): Master Demonologist - Grants both the Warlock and the summoned demon an effect as long as that demon is active. The effect granted depends on the type of demon summoned."

Anyway, stop crying because your abused exploit has been fixed.

I didn't use it and it wasn't absurd OR an exploit. It's a mechanic that was in the game until patch 1.12. Most warlocks in MOST raiding guilds used the spec. Many mechanics in Nostalrius atm are NOT how they are supposed to be in 1.12 and trying to imply this one needs to be is ignorant. If Warlocks were beating you in DPS in current MC gear you're an awful player, if you're a Warlock and didn't know about this you need to do your research. It had little to no effect on the overall course of the server and the realization that these types of mechanics (blade of eternal darkness etc) are the ones being worked on after three months when AV isn't even out yet is absurd.

SuplexGod lit a fire under their ass with his posts and made them actually resort to releasing content in another TWO WEEKS but to imply things like this needed to be worked on just points to your ignorance and the admins overall view of the server - one that is negative and leads towards the realization we won't be doing BWL for another four months.

Everytime an abused bug is fixed, people search around for all the reasons why they shouldn't have done it. "They should have different priorities!" "It wasn't making any difference!"

The server is based on 1.12 and the only things that were intended to be different are content and items. Never have we said anything that refers to changing spells or abilities as they were in the current content patch.

So sorry your spec got fixed, but it should have been. If the goal is an accurate server, that requires a ton of small fixes, this is one of many to come.
