High latency and druids

High latency and druids

by 0mas0 » Fri Mar 20, 2015 1:33 am

I've been playing a rogue with an average of 350ms and I can already tell it's going to bite me in the ass down the path especially in PvP. I was going to roll a warlock seeing as that would play fine with a high latency but the druid is more appealing to me as it's more engaging.

I know casters are better suited for high latency but what about a caster/melee hybrid like the druid? Are there any druids on here that play with high latency?

I recommend you stick with a full caster over a druid. Catform melee range is a pain, even with low latency.

I didn't think cat range would be too much of an issue if I picked up feline swiftness

Not to mention the constant shapeshifting required in PvP. Half of the time I don't know if I hit the shapeshift hotkey before the cooldown was up and it "Fizzled" or if it just hasn't registered yet and I end up re-shifting right back into my original form and waste mana. -_-

Spammable shapeshift macros are a must.

Speaking of, anyone have any tips on how to create a spammable macros?

My dream macro would be a shapeshift macro that won't immediately cancel shapeshift, but can cancel it after a second or so.

with high lag we get the best deal because of feline swiftness / pvp set running speed bonus. I never have an issue catching someone during laggy times.
