Was wondering Does Lifesteal currently scales with spellpower?

If so, how much does the dmg increase by each 10SP?

Was looking thru some thread but didnt find any explaining, maybe i missed something.

at an extremely low near negligible rate the main attraction for the fiery and life steal enchants is that on retail they could crit and proc vengeance which is a 15% damage increase for holy and physical, on this server however that function is bugged.

Although due to out low attack time output i.e judgements and swings these enchants end up actually doing more effective and consistant damage then others would offer still... Also they hit chromag for decent damage during vulnerabilities.

Disregard Holystrike - Lifesteal is scaling at 43% spell dmg on Nostalrius and is very good for Retribution even though it is not triggering Vengeance when it crits.

yes, it scales with spell dmg but it's proc rate here on Nostalrius is $hitty at best - I wouldn't use it until they increase its proc rate or Seal of Command get's fixed and has its 0.5 second delay added in order to allow both the white and SoC hits to trigger weapon/trinket procs.

Once again Theloras proving how far out of his depth he is when it comes to paladins, this user does not even actively raid on nostalrius; as you can easily check, so I would advise any and all paladins to ignore him in the future as the majority of his posts now-days are inclined towards trolling.

A ret paladin using t2.5 and correct bis will have roughly 150 spell damage unbuffed
enchant at 6ppm
150x0.43%= 64.5+30 = 94.5
socom = 7ppm
weapon speed = 3.5
judgement = 1per 8 seconds
3.5 speed weapon
chance to proc = 35% proc rate
Assumed Spell Crit = 20%

over 1 minute this is on average
7 Judgements Per Minute
7 socoms
17 swings
Total attacks: 31
Average Procs per minute = 10.85
Average Proc Crits per minute = 2.17
Average Damage Per Minute = 1127.8575
DPS= 18.7

This enchant on average deals 18.7 DPS using 5/5 t2.5 (at close to 150 spell damage) as is shown above.

The most beneficial part of this enchant however was that it could crit, similar to fiery which activates vengeance.

What theoloras obviously missed was that the main function of this enchant was to roll crit for vengeance, yielding a 15% damage buff to both physical and holy, which affects White Swings, Consecration, Exorcism, Holy Wrath, SoCom, judgement and hammer of wrath leading to a far higher overall dps output.

As it is plainly evident this enchant on its own actually deals relatively low dps; when vengeance procs off its crits however it will be amazing, I would also advise paladins away from intentionally investing too deeply into spell damage purely to boost this enchants damage as you will then sacrifice crit which boosts vengeance uptime which is litterally the entire point of this enchant.( having spell damage as ret is great but stacking it only and gimping other stats is terrible, as ballance is required for optimum dps )

The reported proc per minute rate is for white damage. This enchantment has been confirmed to proc on attack abilities at the same rate as the proc per swing rate. Thus an adjusted per minute rate would be calculated by ppm+pps*(number of abilities used in a minute).

Patch 1.7

All item based self heals will no longer be effected by equipment that provides bonuses to healing. This change affects both the Arcanite Champion and the Crusader Enchantment.

There is lot to learn from us before you step over and correct our mistakes.

Theloras is correct completely when it comes to Nostalrius mechanics currently.

Because this enchant gives too low "18" dps you have Holystrike himself using it with much lower spell damage than 150. (he have 45 only)
