Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Cysthen prescribes a litany of raid consumables for Maintankadins. I am Po'. I can't afford to pop 5g a whack pots and elixirs on every wipe in a pug that allows me to Tank. I use an Elixir of Greater AGI, Greater INT, Reg Wizzy Oil, Stam Food and Dark Rum.

Most healers can keep me up well enough, but when MTing raptor boss in ZG, I lost threat several times and had to have the insanely geared Prot War tank it. Granted, when the Prot War tanked they actually gave him time to build Threat, while he was already fully dotted up and Frostbolts were landing before they even let me get him into position, but the fact is that this will not be the last time I have to deal with DPS that think I am weaker than a Prot War in ST Threat so that means they can blow my target up harder and quicker than if a Prot War was tanking, so I need to know:

A:) Am I simply cutting too many corners?
B:) If that raid had treated me like they treated the Prot War where Threat is concerned, might my consumable choices still have rendered my Threat output too weak?

I look forward to responses from those of you with Raidtankadin experience.

I also have a Mind Carver for a threat weapon, which is 12 spelldmg.

1. we are treated bad without waiting always.
2. we have to do better than warriors in order to convict people
3. using proper consumes and not saving them will make your threat twice higher than warriors.

If i would want to generate more threat with your stuff, i would put 30 Spell Damage on your Mind Carver and a Thorium Shield Spike on your Draconian Deflector. Perhaps it's would be a life changer.

If you decide to try that, plz come back here and tell us about your improved threat generation.

On another note, I recently got a Mind Carver from DM W, and after using it a few times I have become convinced of the superiority of a spelldmg weapon for Tankadins over a "Tank" weapon. That said, it still needs a spelldmg enchant. I also have a paltry 4.1k health while unbuffed, and no arcanums for my BiS-until-AQ20 helm or BiS-forever pants. I have everything I need for my ZG chant except for the Pristine Black Diamond. I have about 90g to spend right now. Would you recommend I take care of my consumable situation, weapon chant, or ZG chant first?
