Can you post a pre-dungeon BiS too? I highly doubt that people would accept you if you show up wearing random questing greens and the odd blue?

Most of the slots have something that is attainable without Dungeons, and they are listed.

Pre-Dungeon BiS is whatever you can get your hands on honestly, just like any other class. Chances are if you're not getting invited to groups, it's not your gear, but the fact that you're Ret, because Ret has a poor reputation of not being a Warrior, Rogue, or Warlock.

You can also slap on some +healing gear and heal in ret spec while rolling for Ret. People might be mad, but you're healing so the dungeon could happen in the first place.

I saw a post about retribution pve on a different private server. The calculations were nice. They recommended using ironfoe & hand of justice with a high spell damage off hand.

Point being you're always using consecration rank 1 the whole fight for constant damage along with the melee white hits and such. Said he maintained about 1k dps with raid buffs & consumes.

So 1h & seal of righteousness > 2h seal of command

Interesting, I hadn't considered that option.

The problems I could see with that are that some other private servers have incorrect scaling on tons of paladin abilities, so it would definitely require some closer looks over here. You would also have some pretty wonky talent selections, including some wasted points just to get deeper into the Ret tree for Vengeance.

I've been slacking and busy on retail so I'm not 60 yet, so this will take some time for me to be able to test. I'm level 40 and have been putting off the grind to 60 because I know it's going to be hell and I can't decide if I want to quest or grind mobs in prot spec. If any of you want to give it a shot, go for it, let me know how it works out.

As far as talent options, I would imagine stacking as much spell power would be the best way to go rather than attack power. I would probably go something like this http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#sVVzZVGzZEf0xr0a

I'm trying to level and hopefully get in some raids as a ret or prot myself so if this is the case i'd be very interested. So glad that there are some that aren't just falling into the paladins have to heal group.

You say Intellect,spell damage are somewhat useful but not good on dps.

Is Seal of Command working with spell damage here? wasn't that having high damage coefficient ?

Also how can we spam judgements,consecrations max ranks if we don't use intellect and mana?

Isn't this server have fixed Seal of Command bug with spell damage?
