as the title implies i would like to know tactics and thoughts about mage against rogues what steps u follow in a duel eveything u can share

Try to open their stealth with a Rank 1 blizzard spam (in random locations)

Frost Nova and then prepare for their vanish (fake a cast) as soon as they vanish cone of cold them out of it.

Next stun they get you in ice block.

Then Cold Snap and keep your distance. Should be ezpz from there on out.

can i use ice block if he manage to stun me cuz i notice if they stun me once they dont let me move idk about rogues but i can realize the cooldown on sap or whatever else they use its must be in such a way that allowing them to keep spamming it and having me locked in place as much as they like but if ice block works on that then awesome but i guess if ur not frost then no chance eh?

WoW is not a competitive game, at least not until TBC brings arena pvp. 99 % of players are bad and simply having a rocket helmet / skull of impending doom makes you god mode on nostalrius.

don't let these goofballs trick u.

blink cheap shot, sheep, max range and reopen with frostbolt followed immediately by a rank 1 fireball for the DoT

Its not about that.

Its not about who wins either.

its about making it look really good.

Which they did.

Other than very unlucky RNG in terms of getting crit or getting resists, at the same level of gear and skill, a mage should never lose vs a rogue, or a warrior for that matter if its 1v1 with no element of surprise. Probably add in paladin here as well. You're meant to be the bane of melee.

One can always get you guys in team fights though, like I got mozi several times in AV a couple of days ago ;D
