Nevermind, the issue has resolved itself for some reason.
I'm guessing some form of protection due to login requests?

1 hour temp ban for wrong password (or something similar to that, I've heard a bunch of different numbers)

Yes, brute-force hacking prevention. Server automatically bans accounts that attempt to login unsuccessfully too many times too quickly. Typically lasts between 30 minutes to an hour.
