[Sumarious]

Hello! im the guy that got banned i was in school so i asked my friend to write a post for me. My character name is Höly and i was casually walking from the inn when suddenly i dissapear and i´m swimming under stormwind and then i get disconnected and when i tried to log in again it said i was banned. I am using antivirus program and i have no harmful stuff on my computer. I have no hacking programs and im new to the game so i dont even know any hacking programs the only addon i use is atlas loot and thats not against the rules i think?
I didnt do anything against the rules it just bugged out and i wonder if i can get unbanned because i did nothing wrong and i really want to play with my friends so they dont have to wait for me to level up again.

Provide the Class, race, gender of the toon and the location of where this happened. I'll create a test account and see if I can re-create the situation to find out if warden is throwing false positives.

All of you are extremely naive to think that you'll get banned for "falling through the world." Clearly this guy probably speed hacked like an idiot and got caught.

On a side note I've been 60 for weeks and have yet to fall through the world on even one occasion.

I've not fallen through the world either.. But..

All we have is his word.. There has been no official statement said as to what his offense actually was..
If one of the devs would just come right out and tell us.. "He was banned for using programblablablawhatever".. Otherwise we have nothing else to go by other than his statement.

As a developer myself... after having worked on many projects.. I can tell you.. It's naive to think that every person ever banned from anything is actually due to wrong doing.. Because no matter how good of a developer your are, or no matter how well your anti-cheat system works.. False Positives happen. Its a fact.

People do a lot of stupid stuff and try to get away with it, but people also get wrongly punished quite often for doing absolutely nothing wrong due to developer error/misconfiguration.. Not saying that is what happened in this particular case.. But it does happen..

Regardless.. It would still be very nice to know.. and possibly have this tested.. Because if simply falling through a map causes a false positive on the anti-cheat system.. It needs to be identified, and corrected.

I suppose you're making sense, I'm a developer too. No one can swear that there is no bug in their programs. It is unfair to ban a char without any other proofs except program records.

I spoke to the OP yesterday and told him (as per usual in these situations where there is even the slightest possibility of it being an error on our side) to send a PM to the person in charge of confirming these things. We are not throwing bans back and forth. And warriors do not fall through the world after charging mobs. The acc was banned automatically because a fly hack was detected, it will be confirmed or denied by the people qualified to do so.
