Now when I log in it says unable to connect then when I try again it says the account is closed and that I am banned so it isn't the anti brut force, so why am I banned?

"Unable to connect" is the message you get when you enter an incorrect password. You don't actually get any type of message specific to entering a wrong password; instead it simply says "Unable to connect."

It sounds like you're entering the wrong password one too many times too quickly and triggering the server's brute-force hacking prevention which temporarily bans your account. GMs can look into why your account might be banned, but they cannot (To my knowledge) handle password resets. That job is solely handled by the administrators, and as the GM pointed out, your account isn't truly banned; you just need to have your password reset so you can login correctly.

Just FYI, you have to make at least one post on the forums to be able to send others a private message. Now that you've made this post, you should be able to send a private message to see about getting your original account's password reset. But it looks like your newest account that you just created works fine, so maybe there's no need to now. Unless if you want to PM an admin with your old account that doesn't work so they can close it so you won't have a non-functioning account associated with your IP.

UPDATE: The new password reset feature is now live. If you're still getting errors during login, try resetting the password using the e-mail address you registered your account with. Make sure it's less than 16 characters in length.

fortunately , my "old" account only had a low level mage, so that was not a problem to me to creater a new charachter (I made a Rogue, like I did back in vanilla, the feels... )
