The good part about this server is the strict staff.
If you dupe items or whatever they did it's not by accident and they got what they deserved.

why are staff so strict on this server?
if they see something that they dont like, they hand out a permanent ban without even telling the player it was wrong to do.
It makes me scared to play the game, and probably a lot of others too.
What if I am doing something you dont allow without me knowing then I get perma banned for it? That is stupid.
You should unban this guy if you didnt give him a warning first, and you guys should also get better staff.

He exploited (his own words) a bug for a month (again, his own claim), in order to buy an epic mount (again his own words) but got caught after making 500g and you think he should get unbanned? He should get hardware banned just for the sole reason that he's trying to argue that he did nothing wrong to begin with.

My account also got banned and I don't know why exactly. I was farming gold at a specific spot that I'm thinking now may have been a bug but I had no idea at the time. I only played post Cataclysm retail so I assumed this was just a cool secret in Vanilla - whatever expansion. They didn't give me any warning about this bug that in my opinion they should be responsible for fixing and warning players not to use. I think people should be given warning if they are abusing a bug whether they realize it or not and our accounts should be returned. We've put a lot of support into this server and this isn't just. ty

The staff's actually quite lenient. They openly tell players that get banned they're more than welcome to roll a new character or create another account and keep playing if they desire. There's nothing strict about upholding one's own policy. Everything's clearly laid out in black and white in the Terms of Use: abusing major in-game bugs is a bannable offense.

I'm not scared to play here in the least. In fact, a stern stance against cheaters/hackers makes me want to play here even more.

The funny thing about people abusing in game bugs or exploita for financial benefits is that they don't think they will get caught, the temptation and the thought that if caught they will be let off with a warning keeps them exploiting/abusing until they get hit by the ban hammer, then all we see is QQ in the forums, lol. You got what you deserved, you were clearly gaining some type of advantage based on a bug or exploit, if you spent the money or not, that is irrelevant, you should have reported the bug and moved on.

The idea of ToU (Terms of Use) is that every player should read it and accept it before logging in to the server. Not knowing or making a mistake does not absolve you of the error itself.
You need to compare this to the law that any country has in place. If you do something wrong you will get punished.
First you make sure that you do not do something wrong. If you are not sure, check fist, ask a GM ask on forum.
