Try running the game without addons, some of the outdated versions tend to lag your client pretty badly. Now I know this might not be your issue since you lag at certain times only but yeah, at least try it out.

Read the last page, its certain people only certain times of day. Why would addons do it? this makes no sense.

What needs to be done is Nost people contacting the host and find out why they do this to certain locations only.

Welp, it's happening right now again, massive lag, lag spikes, and now I get stuck on connected for ages and then straight to disconnected from server.

The same thing is happening to me. At random times (only happened to me three times so far) I have issues connecting: I'm stuck on 'connected' or it takes ages to load character screen etc. (I'm constantly changing between the 2 realmlists and I otherwise have a fine connection -18 ms for example.) Then when I do get in I have insane lag (it showed 20k ms at one point), and sooner or later I get disconnected. Tried deleting WDB / WTF, addons, nothing seems to help (first time it happened I had no addons actually). It sort of feels like the server is saturated, reluctant to let me in, and if it does, it drops me quickly. I have no idea at all what causes it, I'm having it atm in the morning, which never happened before :< (it was usually later hours).

Well, I managed to log on pretty smoothly just now so thought the lag might be gone, but nope, instant 13k latency...

Server side, there is no lag, and we have spare bandwidth.
The issue may come from the connection between your ISP and our server. In which country do you live ?
Using a proxy service (or VPN) can sometimes solve the problem.

I live in Hungary, and yeah, a VPN would most likely fix the issue, but I'd rather not use one if I didn't have to. :p
