Done, but same result, it just went up all the way to 50 with the request timed outs.

Okay either that IP is down right now or the devs have an ACL blocking ICMP requests (ping requests).

Cause I can't ping login2.nostalrius.org right now either.

Well, I couldn't ping it even when I wasn't lagging, which I'm not, atm. The lag seems to be popping up randomly now for a couple of minutes.

I agree , its only nostalrius im having this issue with at said times , everything else is literally running perfectly

And @ peak hour problems ..its impossible ..because i have people who live on my street who use the same IP that isnt having the issue ...thats what is mind boggling..... i tried 2 different machines on my connect as well to see ...but same thing.

I can ping login.nostalrius.org perfectly fine.

Do a traceroute there and post a picture.

That's a nice trace. I don't see any issues there. Grab a traceroute when you are lagging and compare the two to see where the issue may lie.

Well, lag's back, http://i.imgur.com/X4oQxrb.png been starting at that same spike for the last 2 minutes or so, with occasional autoshot's going off. :P So I alt f4'd and can't log back on again, as usual. Getting stuck on "logging in to game server" and the server selection.

I tried setting up google public dns as a friend recommended it. It seemed to work for a while, it lessened the issue (i had tolerable lag, and a few 'mini spikes'). But while running gnomeregan i had a major spike, and dc-ed. As mentioned above after I alt f4-ed out it took me over 10 minutes to reconnect. The problem also seems to grow, as I had it happen 4 times today at various hours. (In the morning when I posted here and also now).

I have a question for somebody more experienced on this topic: Can a not reachable port cause high delay? Or you couldnt even connect to the server?
