Issue with game files

Alright so I download the game, install, no problems. Download some addons, unzip them to the addon folder, start game, no problem. UNTIL, I needed to go into the folder to adjust something. At which point I realized there was no addon folder at all...The files aren't hidden, they're just not there. I searched the computer for other folder and there weren't any others. Strange as fuck. So I unistall the game, purge all info and reinstall hoping this strangeness would fix itself- no. Now the folder is still empty but the addons are still present in the game. I literally unistalled the game and reinstalled from the same folder I downloaded from the first time yet the old local files still exist....Anybody know what the hell is up here?

I also tried to put a new addon folder in the blank interface folder but they won't show up in the game, only the old addons do.

Which operating system are you using and where did you install the client?

Sounds like your AddOns folder is in a different directory than where you installed WoW to, though I've never heard of that happening. Find the WoW shortcut icon you double click to open the game from. Right-click it and select "Open File Location." A file explorer window will open that will contain all your WoW installation files. Copy/paste that address here to show us where WoW is presently installed to on your computer.

Additionally, inside there should be a folder labeled "Interface." Open it and see if you have a folder labeled "AddOns." If so, open it and see whether it contains your addons or if it's empty. If you don't have an AddOns folder, then you might have another install somewhere else on your computer.
