Faction transfer

Is that possible?
A common thing happened to me. My friend asked me to switch to alliance to play with him. I agreed, but then he stopped playing. So now I'm alone here and I find my character lvl and prof. lvl pretty high to just create another one. May I ask about transferring this character to the horde side?
