If I understand correctly, my friend, who has used my account was banned for botting on HIS account and because he had also logged into mine my account was also banned(I guess they assumed it was his) No actual botting has actually happened on my account

How ypou can be sure he didnt bot with your account when you werent online like in offhours when you were asleep if he had your account info?
