You can't start them as a group, you get the popup "Would you like to start this as well"(something like that), you press yes and you don't get the quest, only the guy who starts it gets it, which makes competition for quests even worse.

People don't have the intelligence to submit a bug report about what is actually broken.

We are currently working on it, and you can expect a fix in a few hours (we will need to restart the server).

2/2 of the escort quests were like this so far. Only the person starting the quest can complete.

I waited almost 2 hours to get the defias traitor quest done
We were a group of 5 doing a countdown so we all could pick it up at the same time. But people kept taking it too early then we had to wait 15-20min for him to respawn.
Would be great to see this fixed asap!

That's strange. The shredder escort quest in Barrens worked fine for us. And we were in a 4 man group.
But, Like Dameon said, guess they're fixing it now!
