Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hey, I logged out of game and clicked change realm then clicked one of the dev only realms that was listed by accident, now when I try to log on I get disconnected automacticly, normally I would just delete WTF folder but my client doesnt have one for some reason ( not sure if it's retail only)

Anyways any help you could give me would be greatly apreciated

You'll have to change default realm back to Nostalrius Begins. I've accidentally done the same thing. Solved my issue by making a file named "config.wtf" (without quotes) in the main WoW folder installation (where WoW.exe is located).

Type this inside the config.wtf file and save it:
SET realmName "Nostalrius Begins"

The downside of this is that it will reset your video/sound settings (unless you know the video/sound commands/values and type them out in config.wtf) and you'll have to set them all over again.

I have a slightly better fix for this that won't reset any of your other settings. Your Config.wtf file should be located in your WTF folder. If opened with wordpad it should look something like this:

Close wow.exe if it's open. Find the line saying SET realmName "[servername]" and replace it with SET realmName "Nostalrius Begins". Save the file and restart WoW, it should now connect you to the correct server and retain all your other settings.

What document is that in I don't have a wtf folder or cashe folder can I just make a text file with that in it?

If I don't have a wtf folder can I make a file named config and copy that into it?

That should work Pandaboots, but I don't see how you can have a client without a WTF folder, are you using a legitimate client?

I installed from disc and patched that up to 1.12.1, maybe you should try the same if this isn't working for you.

i have the same problem and i have trouble to save the config.wtf Data with the changed Name in it or save it at all ... also my config.wtf doenst contain so much text, only two sentences.

Because none of the things u said worked for me, i tried to reinstall the game but that didnt worked either.

I also tryed to start the programm as an admin but than i get kicked from the game all few minutes.

Please help, I am having the same issue.

The config.wtf file only has two lines when displayed in Notepad.

SET readEULA "1"

There is nothing else after those two lines, and I have full permissions.

I really want to get back to playing. This test server nonsense shouldn't be an issue.
