Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

So I selected one of the test realms and it insta disconnects me now every time I try to log in. How do I change it without logging in?

I've done it as well, how you resolve it yourself is you click cancel after logging in before it disconnects you.

In the directory of your game there's a WTF folder (Warcraft Temporary Files), inside that should be a Config file. If not, create one, named Config.WTF (make sure you have enabled file extensions*). Open the file with notepad and type:
SET realmName "Nostalrius Begins"

Save and close the file. This should set the realm to the respective server.


* To enable file extensions, go into Folder and Search options (Win7: Top left corner, Organize->Folder and Search options->View->Scroll down til you found the "Hide extensions for known files" and uncheck that box)

Im having the same issue and I tried doing the steps listed to change the realm but when i go to save the file it just says access denied
