Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hi there..


So im leveling an orc shammy and at lvl 22 i pick "two-handed axes and maces" from the enhancement tree and start hacking away with my new 2h axe.

Then i take a closer look at where my weapon skill is at and i notice it only goes up to 110 where as 1h axes goes to 115.

So my question is:
Shouldnt the orc racial "Axe specialization" (axes and 2h axes increased by 5) start counting towards this when i choose "two-handed axes and maces" from the enhancement tree ??
