Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hi Nostalrius Staff!

Today around 12:00 there were some horde gankers i Redridge. My girlfriend who is new to wow since a week back, it may sound like some typical bullshit but this is the actual story, and i could send photos of our setup at my place (even with us if requested xD). Anyhow she were constantly being ganked by a group of hordes 5 levels above her. So i decided to help her so she can catch up to me without being delayed by World pvp.

I flew to redridge, killed the gankers a couple of times. And i didn't wanna be a douchebag chasing them as a lvl 40 with mount so i followed her while she was heading back to the town from questing, I got back and we were in lakeshire (town in redridge) delivering quests and i was about to log off for today and a Game master <GM> raazi whispered her (Tuxiyon) And asked if she wants the hunter or the paladin to get banned. And i went to write back and i asked why we were getting banned? Without time to explain she got disconnected and banned, The conversation is logged in my WiM log (addon).

Now I know about multiboxing and following while leveling but i did not have a clue it was as strict as you may not follow someone you know for 5 minutes because of gankers, we did not manage to kill a single mob during this time we ran, atleast not a single one with my assistance. I'm a lvl 40 paladin and she were playing as lvl 18 hunter, now maybe it may sound a bit sad that i'm writing complaining about losing a lvl 18 hunter since it's a two days work, but it's her first character and it took her a week. I don't know what your opinion is but i'd say that it's a bit sad that she is getting a banned because i insisted to assist her against these gankers.

Rules must be followed i understand and respect that but please don't let her lose hope for this game already it took a lot of time to get her to even try it >_<..

That's weird because when you were killing myself, The Wolf of Redridge... neither character would move when the other did (apart from when on follow)

They're pretty strict about auto-follows. I was PM'd once back on day 2 for AFK following, but the thing is, they watch people for quite a while that get reported for possible multiboxing. You either had her on follow for a long time, or multiple times, or both. They probably even PM'd you in game a couple times that you missed or something. I've never heard of an outright ban without a warning though. Moral of the story - they don't want any form of boxing or AFK following.

@Kayrn I haven't got a warning before we both have WiM and I've checked the loggs. But i have heard others getting these warnings, but i guess if she was at a higher level she'd only get a warning. I did not follow her for long. I followed her from lakeshire to the mill in redridge, then we headed back after killing 1 spider which she was gonna tame for Bite rank 3, but she didn't know she actually had to put her old pet in the stables so we had to run back and I got the whisper when i arrived in lakeshire.

@Mightning, So you're saying that she did not run for aid towards me or flee like multiple times? And that she actually was playing alone like everytime you managed to kill her? I think it's pretty sad that you're going this far and managed to get her banned when you're griefing.

@OGTUCKER117 It sounds a bit strange, like imagine if i was a complete stranger following a guy to get him banned. Or maybe someone you don't like..

We have the same setup: me and my girlfriend have two different computers but one IP and sometimes we help each other. And I follow (and she) from time to time while running somewhere killing stuff during the road. So we will get the ban for it? We should never use the follow function?

Please make clear this situation and if it's true I won't wait the ban and just uninstall the game.

My friend got ban on suspicions and 0 evidence as well. I'm getting very frustrated with all these pointless bans that are removing new players from enjoying the game.

If they receive multiple reports of it, they follow the characters in question for quite a bit, often times days. Basically don't do any questionable stuff and you'll have no need to fear.

There is no evidence that people are just rando getting banned, and those who complain are being pointed out from the GMs on here to what specifically they did. So pretty much they deserved it.
