Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hi,

The current droprate of Chillwind & Shardtooth meat for the repeatable quest Frostsaber Provision seems to be the Mangos default one, i.e. 80%, instead of what it used to be on retail, i.e. around 20%.

I already reported this exact bug during Nostalrius beta, with relevant sources, like 3 years ago and it was fixed.

I already reported this bug 1-2 weeks ago through the in-game ticketing system. It takes literally 20 seconds to fix it in the server database, I don't really know why it's not fixed yet. In the meantime, players are taking advantage of it. It needs to be fixed asap.

You can currently complete the quest just by killing 10-15 mobs at most, instead of several dozens.

I started to farm the reputation and thus I am (unwillingly) benefiting from this bug. I see no problem with my reputation being wiped out to 0/3000 Neutral if necessary, as long as it is done soon.

Just take 10 seconds and fix this, please .

Can any staff member who have DB rights fix this ? Would take like 10 seconds :'(.

In the meantime, is it considered bug exploiting to farm my reputation? Am I allowed to do so even if I reported the bug three times and am fully aware my rep might be wiped out (the right thing to do would be to divide it by 4 I guess, since 20% x 4 = 80%)? Or am I better off waiting for this to be fixed?

This bug takes so little time to fix in the database that I cannot imagine it hasn't been fixed yet, so I guess it's just a matter of applying the fix now .

I haven't checked on the live server yet, but if it's not applied yet, could we have a word about an approximative date for it?

And what about the reputation of players who exploited this bug (probably unknowingly for most of them) ? Is something going to be done (like a withdrawal of 75% of everyone's rep, since 20 = 80 x 25%) ?

This mount is supposed to be insanely hard to get, it's sad to know that the few players who already got it didn't deserve it .

Am I risking a ban if I continue to do this buged quest?

Am I risking a ban if I continue to farm my reputation only by doing the two others quests (this sounds legitimate to ask since you might not have any way to see how I raised my reputation)?

When will the fix be applied on Nostalrius?

Can we expect, as I hope, that all players will loose a certain percentage of their Frostsaber Trainers reputation to reflect the bug fix and the fact that it could be exploited until the fix?

Hey,

The issue has been changed to "Resolved" on the Bug Tracker :

However it is said the droprate has been reduces to 40%, while the only trustworthy source I was able to find online says it is 20% at best. Can we know on what the staff is basing the new 40% droprate?

Furthermore, nothing as been precised regarding players who have already benefited from the buged droprate : will their reputation be reduced accordingly?

Honestly there are a bajillion more quests like this, but its hard to determine accurate rates via zam archive (not used for this, but a useful source if you know how to read threw the bugs [for some reason it picked up a lot of herbs and mines and other things that ended up in mangos databases] in its mechanism for gathering data) due to the fact that it also tracked loot for when people were not on the quest as well.
