Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

So I've been playing/connecting just fine. Tonight I relogged to reset addons and started having troubling connecting.

A little later I came back and try to connect where I keep getting the "can not connect to server" message then all of a sudden a message saying my account is banned.

Any ideas?

Also, I saw that this is a temporary way to stop people from spamming/keylogging but it still won't fix my issue with not being able to connect all of a sudden.

I tried realmlist and realmlist2 and I deleted my WTF folder. Nada.

Is the message saying "Unable to connect"? If so, your realmlist is correct. Likewise with your account name and password. You were most likely logging into one of the test servers which forces a log out when trying to connect to them. If you see messages such as "Authenticating" "Success" etc, try pushing enter right around the time you see "Success" and select "Nostalrius Begins" on the realm selection window.

If you want an easier way, add this on a new line in your realmlist:

SET realmName "Nostalrius Begins"

The temp ban should last around 15 minutes. If you continue the attempts and receive another temporary ban, I do not know if the length of the ban increases to further block bruteforcing/continuous login attempts.

Yeah, it let me attempt to log in once and gave me the "Unable to Connect" message then temp banned me again.

It seems like a confirmed "Unable to connect" then instead of "Disconnected from server".

Are you positive you have the correct information entered? If you are unsure what you have typed beyond the asterisk ("*") of the password field, use a notepad to pre-enter your password. Type your password in the notepad, select all of it, copy, and paste (CTRL+V) in the password field.

Just chiming in to let you know that your account is not, and has never been banned. If you are getting the ban message it's from trying to connect too many times. Perhaps someone else is trying to log on your account?

try entering your account name manually instead of using remember account name

So now it's getting really wonky. I just got home and hadn't tried logging in for ~16 hours. Still unable to connect once then straight to banned.

So I tried making a new account. First attempt at login... banned. Resetting IP now to see if it changes anything.
