Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Putting items labeled "Quest Item" in your bank appears to wipe quest giver NPC knowledge that you have that item. I was able to turn in one quest by clearing my WDB folder, and cycling between logging in, putting items in my bank, logging out, logging back in, and taking items out several times, but there's another 2 quests I'm trying to do this for now and it's not working.

Trying to turn in the Leaders of the Fang quest in Thunderbluff but I had three of the four gems in the bank earlier. Taking them out I now cannot turn in the quest.

I've tried putting them in the bank, deleting WDB and logging out and in and then trying to turn in, and even taking each out individually and deleting my WDB each time and logging out and back in, and it still does not work.

Please help.

Abandon the quest and accept it again. You will keep your gems, and it will work.

:] thanks for the tip, Robo. deleting and reobtaining quest worked. the warning that it was going to delete the items sort of tweaked me out.

You're welcome. The game likes to lie. Note that this method will not work too well on quests that involve "slay X" as well as picking up items, like Warlord's Command, and the Tanaris Ledger quest, which is given in SG and ends in Gadgetzan.

Also, why are you a femtaur? Femtaurs are gross.

What, femtaurens and taurens in general are awesome! I mostly play nelfs or taurens. Makes me wish that Blizzard had made 3 factions and the third would have been Kalimdor Circle or something, consisting of nelfs and taurens, fighting to expel the invaders off their continent. Now that would have been awesome.

I very infamously hate cows. On retail, I was so well known that during early WotLK Beta, I said, "I hate cows" in Howling Fjord general chat, and at least three people from servers other than mine sent me tells asking me if I was who I was. When I went Alliance for my ICC guild, I spent my first 8 hours as a human running around BGs and killing taurens.

I ran into this same problem as well and posted about it in another thread. Tried pretty much the same steps as you, but still couldn't get it to work. Ended up biting the bullet and abandoning the quest, wasting a hearth, re-picking it back up, and paying for a flight out to where it needed to be turned in. Glad to know it's fixed by abandoning but backpedaling so much for a simple breadcrumb is kind of annoying.
