Well, it's about that time when we stop for a moment and consider everything that's happened thus far in PvP:
An unannounced change to the queue system was implemented roughly one week after the release of AV. This change has yet to be clarified by the developers, but there are two prominent theories as to why the change happened. One is that after several people who don't premade complained about facing premades, devs responded with a change to the queue system in favor of these individuals. The other is the result of a countermeasure against players having the ability to group queue Alterac Valley with unintended consequences that are certainly not Blizzlike.
This has players in a tizzy. On the one end, it is viewed that the change is beneficial for the server given that the majority of players are now able to compete against like opponents (premade versus premade and pug versus pug). On the other end, it is viewed as unfair and limiting by players who are in the process of grinding higher ranks, i.e. the queues are much slower and there are no alternatives to efficiently gaining honor. What has accompanied the change to the queue system, whether intentional or not, are several potential problems, two of which will be explored.
Though subject to speculation, honor grinding via account sharing (by individuals who will remain unnamed) is becoming a viable form of attaining a high rank. This obviously has its place in becoming a means of monetary gain for some, as in susangame.com and other similar websites that provide illicit services according to the terms of use.
The prominent issue at hand is that there exists a certain group of players suspected of participating in a form of win trading. The win trading is accomplished by the two opposing faction premades queuing for both AB and WSG at the same time with each premade taking an empty battleground. What happens following this practice is a game that opens to the rest of the population with either an impending five node cap or 3/3 flag cap. Players just entering the battleground have no chance to compete. The players have been identified and the issue should be thoroughly investigated by GMs.
This is intended to be an objective summary of everything that has been reported by several players ranging from dedicated to once-a-week PvP'ers and is based on firsthand personal accounts and forum posts. The purpose of this thread is to draw the attention of the Nostalrius developers into communicating with their playerbase. The topics presented in this thread have yet to be formally addressed, despite the large outcry from players.
There is another thread for bashing the "QQ'ing premaders", so please take it there to maintain your dignity and the integrity of this thread as an objective account of the current PvP system. Respond with anything that has not been accounted for.
