Should quest disuption be bannable?

thread dismissed, regardless of how annoying it is at the time, faction rivalry and fuckery is what makes the game fun when you man up and try to do something about it, and then look back at the shenanigans

I feel it is getting worse with Horde camping lower level flight masters for half the day yesterday.

I am not sure if this was somehow organized, but there was a Priest/Warlock/Hunter in literally every questing area for hours, killing lowbies repeatedly and making it impossible for Alliance to quests in those areas. In Un'Goro there were even 5 people waiting at the flight master dismount point, one-shotting everyone landing there.

I have a bad feeling that at one point this will get out of control.

I honestly don't get why people roll on this server and complain about stuff that was happening in Vanilla. This server is all about the Vanilla experience and that is definitely what is happening here.

I'm not saying you have to like it, everyone has different views on what's fun or enjoyable, but don't think there is much point to argue about something that was like that in Vanilla.

In my case if I see that happening I log off and wait a while before playing again or try to do something else in-game, like level professions or BGs or something, then come back later.

Waiting for the PvE server is probably your best bet.

It actually was different in Vanilla. Aside from some servers people were in general nicer. On this server you do not have the option to go to some other server, you have to live with the people on this server. And to be honest: I've never seen so much scum and hostility on one server combined like here.

I meant more about the whole PvP experience of people being able to kill you or mobs while you quest, level or do whatever else. The hostility I'm not sure about, maybe on the forums yea, though in-game I have met a lot of really nice people for the most part. We see lot's of assholes too but that might just be because it's such a large server that;s bound to happen, and like you said, since there is no option to move server, everyone is here, so you get all the scumbags here too.
I can live with it as I just ignore them.

The difference here is that the game is 10 years old and let's face it; most people that join, do it for the PvP and they seek that immediate interaction with other players. It's probably what has been missing most from retail, effectively since TBC. The "problem" is that this phenomenon is amplified because people "know" how to play the game by now, so they try to exploit anything and everything for the lulz. I know it can be annoying but that's a really big part of why someone would join a 10 year old game private server. So it's not exactly like vanilla in a sense, more like vanilla on steroids

I agree with you. I was kind of expecting that when joining here. I thought 'everyone will probably know all the ins and outs and it might be a bit boring, but oh well.' Having said that, I'm actually really surprised with the amount of people I've found who either are very young and really don't know how to play that well, or have never played In Vanilla before. Even some people who have never played WoW at all! So while I know exactly what you mean, I think maybe it's not quite to the extent you say, but probably pretty close to it :)
