Where is the Nostalgia... i mean the Horde?

Where is the Nostalgia... i mean the Horde?

by deathrowz » Wed Sep 16, 2015 7:47 pm

Hi everyone,

I am an addicted player of WoW. And i have one big issue with the fact that people want to live the adventure of Vanilla wow, but if u as a player don't put your mind into it, as it was back in the days in 2005. How can this become a real experience?

Let me explain u all a few things, because i don't really believe the majority of Nostalrius player base being really old gamers as i do. Back then there was something called Alliance players and HORDE players. Yes i intentionnally putted HORDE in caps. Why? Well simply said where is the Horde at? Why u don't act as a hordish player if u play one? Better be an alliance player then. They are made for u if u like to be a solo artist in wow. jk

More serious now. I want to live it like it was back then but it seems the player base is not willing to become what retail vanilla wow was.

Let me explain a few things and don't take it bad. But if u like pvp why don't u push it back into controlling zones for those in need to lvl up and join the bandwagon of 60s. In retail on pvp server there was that little extra thing where (i give u one side of the faction example but this is for both worthy) as a Horde player got ganked so many times in a zone by Alliance players and ,generally higher leveled ones,He remotely started, into the chat room World defense by a simple saying, FOR THE HORDE, and u had then massive horde coming to his rescue controlling the zone for a brief moment closing up all possible entrance to that zone for the other faction and wiping all those who even try to put one step in it. Even 60s back then dropped their raid to come to help for real. U can ask your friend that had known pvp servers back in the days of Vanilla he wouldn't contradict me at all.

This became those famous Tarren Mill fights as exemple. But what do i see on Nostalrius is far from being that. People have a bad mentallity for the game. I don't mind the trolling but when it comes to it jump in and fight don't fear a fight u will have much more fun than acting as a douchebag. I really wished when i came on this server to experience that again. But there is no interaction between horde players like the good ol' days. They just almost spit on eachother. It is far lesser like that on Alliance side they start to gang up and control areas because they got ganked and that is how u create hughe factions wars that where happening.

This week there was a raid on Sylvanas and Thrall. And we saw no defense of the Horde. Kind of lame for a pvp server. I know u might have kept the habits of Retail wow but damned defend your Honour. This is real deal. If u don't defend your faction Honour then i will ask for Nostalrius devs to make it so there is only one faction. jk

Let the Horde be the real Horde again !!!!

Lol drop my raid to come help defend Tauren Mill. You're a funny guy.
The level of whining about bans on the forums is at an all time industrial level.

translation: I'm bad at the game and I can only feel accomplished when I kill someone 10+ levels lower.

@OP if you were looking for an exact clone of vanilla you're not going to find one. You can relive the raids and the times, but the community has changed. People know how the game is played now and the big PvP battles never happen anymore due to most players being focused on gearing/raiding. The only "pvp" that happens on this server are shit 60s griefing leveling players.

The game itself is just like it was back in vanilla. People, however, have changed. It's 2015, look out the window - comunities have changed, social life is different, trends are different.

"The Horde" grew up. I did the same, I ran and helped people "for the horde". You know why? Because I was a fuckin 12 year kid and the game was like magic. Why was it like magic? Because I was 12. Kids at 12, back in 2000s didn't give a shit about their time. Everyone values their time and won't waste it "for the horde".

The game is perfect, the community will never be the same as it was in 2006.
