New to Vanilla - Need advise on what class to play

New to Vanilla - Need advise on what class to play

by Cspence » Wed Sep 23, 2015 7:06 pm

Focusing primarily on PvP (although I do enjoy PvE once in awhile)

Preferring DPS. Not being a tank in PvP, healer POSSIBLY.

How I like to play ideally? I like to be a Juggernaut. Innately tanky (plate class comes to mind) and packs a punch and I don't mind having blatant, obvious weaknesses in my class as long as I have the potential to win most fights off skill alone.

Ret Paladin and Arms Warrior come to mind initially because they wear plate, but does anything else fit this idea? If not, which of the two is best for me?

In terms of Paladin, I enjoy being able to help others with buffs and blessings so that's not a problem, but I heard they're horrible and...well...they only use auto attacks and judgment -_-... Not very engaging in Vanilla. Reck bombing also isn't fun to me, I'm not a moron who takes fun in abusing dumb mechanics like that, if I one shot you it wasn't skill so I don't get excitement from it.

In terms of Warrior? Well I never have tried it much before because it always felt "default" to me since every race could do it. Plain even. But realistically it might be what I'm looking for.

Thoughts?

You can also play feral druid. Tanky in bear, deals good dps in cat, can heal himself or others. Has some utility like roots.

SL lock is tanky especially with a VW out. You can do very well in solo pvp, the class doesnt have much of an inherent weakness apart from your shit getting dispelled.

Maybe a shaman? Give it a try, I played one to level 50 and it's really fun class to play. Mainly focused on PVP aswell.

Forget about warrior if you wanna play alone and win most of the fights, you will lose most of them if you are not in a team.

Dont play Paladin because that means you are Alliance and they are all wimps.

You are looking for a Orc Soul Link warlock.
