We used to do IBGY first on my server as alliance during vanilla. I'm surprised to see alliance care so much about SFGY. SFGY isn't a good target because of the trolls in this version of AV. IBGY -> IBT -> Galv is also a much faster and easier route to go since you get faster respawns, don't have to deal with the trolls, and don't have to deal with going up that ramp to Galv.

Overall, IBGY is the hardest GY for alliance to take, so it make sense to put a lot of effort into it early since it is easy to take by going up the left side (instead of going up the ramp to Galv)

There is only 1 road alliance uses, which is going to Galv and fight with horde defenders. You cant get through there, alliance wants to get Galv first. There is the Mine Layer who smashes eveyrone and the Bowmen shooting at you and dont forget the Land Mines and the patrols.

The alliance doesnt walk from the barracks where the flesh golem is patroling because there are the guards patrolling all the time + the flesh golem + land mines + bowmen and mine layer. So the Way from galv to IBT is the most healthiest way. There are no guards below Galvangars garnison. thats the place where alliance is resting and waiting etc. you cant do that elsewhere before entering hordes zone.

Good question. I'm not actually certain what the warriors who tanked for me were specced, but I've seen full-blown protection warriors in AV, and they were amazing. I suppose that as long as you have some tanking GEAR, you could give it a try in some other spec, and tell me if it works.
