Wasting peoples time isn't PvP

I played 10 years ago and I still gank lowbies, especially if they have a name I don't like or are a hunter. The fact of the matter is its a pvp world and you are the opposing faction. If you only want pvp under certain conditions then GO TO THE PVE SERVER BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE YOU FIND THAT!

Seriously just embrace the spirit of the pvp server and you will have fun. I totally got camped leveling and never once cried for help even when it was a lvl 60 hunter with humanoid tracking. I just made smart decisions (like logging off for 30mins) and continued on my way, and even enjoyed the experience a bit because of the rush of finally escaping the hunters clutches. The great thing about vanilla pvp servers is that IT WON'T ALWAYS GO YOUR WAY, it can and will be unfair (like fucking life) and like life you just need to roll with the punch's and learn from it.

First of all, regarding the subject of this post: If you're playing WoW, you have time to waste by definition. This is nobody's job.

2nd: Getting ganked by people many levels higher than you is unfair. It can be infuriating, but also exciting. It can be JUST as exhilarating to escape the clutches of someone 8+ levels higher than you who SHOULD have been able to easily kill you, as it is to have killed someone your own level. /point & /lol'ing as you escape to safety.

And if you can't get away, it can also be just as rewarding to call out in General chat and get a gang of ten low levels to group up and take down a skull lvl asshole. Or see if some higher level in your guild is bored and willing to come out and take out the trash for ya. Vanilla wow was designed to be a highly social game. Learn to talk to other people and join together to overcome these unexpected obstacles. It can be a lot of fun, I promise!

Or switch over to your higher lvl alt and give them a taste of their own medicine. There was a plague of 38-60 lvl players swarming over Hillsbrad the other day when I was trying to lvl my alt there. I came back on my Rogue with 2-3 other 50+ players and spent several hours killing all the allies who had been there ganking all day, until they GY rezzed and hearthed out. Didn't make any level progress on my alt, but it was still a blast! :D

That's more like it.

Personally I don't tank lowbies, unless I start an Invasion with my guild, noone is spared. But I never camp lowbies in purpose.
Was good to have you all

I think the saying "blame the game not the player" applies well in most cases sure some players are assholes but if the game allows them to be for no good reason then that's the game's fault. I really love all the good side of the wild pvp in this game, I just haven't found anything like it in any other game.

but imo there ARE faults in WoW wild pvp model including not being able to prevent waste of time in some ways like this, e.g. when you are low level and get attacked by a few levels higher or more often you cannot even run away. There is also a problem I think with rogues/catdruid if you play a simple careful gank game against people leveling there is no answer for a lot of classes. So if you are a rogue or a druid (I'm druid) you find that's your best way to kill people "100%" easy provided you have seen them and pretend to go about your business and come back invisible when they are at 50% against some same-level mob and that's not fun and you can choose to do it or not do it and when that's really part of the identity of your class of course you'll do it at least sometimes.. and it's not so good : they can't see you coming, they can't really wait cause they don't know how long until you give up, and once you have attacked they probably have no chance to run away and sometimes to even get to act at all as they may die before the end of the first stunlock. This stuff is imo too strong in the wild, it should be toned down.

But it's not TOO bad and there are so many good things also in the wild pvp which is really the reason why I play the game at the end of the day. So I blame the game for allowing boring players looking for meaningless egoboosts (a minority) to waste people's time in some cases. As for those players, well they are allowed to play however they want I think the best response if not modifying the game is to establish organizations to prevent them from doing that stuff. Like some kind of patrol/scout system or something. It could even be extended to intra-faction maybe, like if you see a player of YOUR faction doing shit like purely trying to cause annoyance to people who don't have a chance to defend, you give some sign to lead other-faction-guys to him or something...

other suggestions given above;;

as for wasting time : yeah you can say when you play wow it feels like some of it is wasting time but it is good to reduce the amount of time that feels purely wasted so it is good to talk about that^^ no need to tell someone to get out and go to "carebear server" almost insulting pve players at the same time :P
