So after speaking to another GM (and Pottu, please feel free to chime in) it was stated that AFK'ing in AV is totally okay (sitting in base, fishing, etc.), but only in AV. When asked to clarify the ToU and respond to this post specially, the response I got was "We do not have the time to clarify and discuss every single rule."

So keep your AFK'ing limited to AV only and you'll be fine!

I do understand they wouldnt have time to "discuss" every rule.
But when a rule is set this vague i do belive they should atleast make it more detailed..

Otherwise, how would we be able to follow the rules if we cant even UNDERSTAND them.
We are all very thankful for this server and all the hours the Devs and GMs spend on this, but it would be really sad to lose a toon you worked alot for for something you didnt know was against the rules.


especially for those who rank, am i really allowed to GY camp. MC others out off the GY portal (I know we are but just as an example). Can i get banned for just herbing in AV ect.

Its alot easier to get the rules for raids and elsewhere in the game, if you kill a boss that dosnt fight back... its abusing a bug.

That was literally exactly what I said to the GM, and he said to assume that anything not explicitly stated is prohibited.

As already mentioned by other Gamemasters and even a few players, we can't list single exceptions of every rule in our Terms of Use.

Fishing or farming Herbs/Ores in Alterac Valley is allowed, but entirely being AFK (even on a base) is considered as a violation of our Terms of Use.
